Top tip Tuesday! Spending a fortune buying replacement multi tool blades? Once they’ve hit a nail or two, which tends to ruin them even if they are bi-metal, you can simply cut off all the teeth, add groves/slots in the end with a 1mm grinding disc, and they are good to go again. They won’t cut through metal, but they will slice through wood, plastic and plasterboard easily. You can even cut the blades multiple times before recycling them.

Another option for topping up your wall insulation without loosing the internal space is adding it to the outside. This will reduce heating costs for this house for years to come - as well as hiding the ghastly pebbledash! 🙊#epsinsulation #krend #insulated #sustainablebuilding #ecobuild #ecobuilding #ecobuilder #sustainableconstruction

Old Victorian stone walls usually have little to no insulation. We used woodfibre boards, air tightness tape around a new window, and finished with lime plaster incorporating a layer of mesh. This keeps the wall breathable but will save massively on heating costs 🙌
